interesting:P
i ended up playing this game at one point and almost finishing it.
(im stuck at the gimmick palaceXD)
there is another ...forgotten? rpg for the gba'.'
it was a game i bought a while ago and can read pretty well but alas, i lament that this game isn't in english:P
that game that i speak of is "Magical Vacation"
i hear it would be incredibly complicated to translateXD
but its pretty old:D

I always thought that a fan made Famicom / NES version of MOTHER 2 would be pretty neat. It probably won't happen, though. It's too time consuming and not really worth it.

ROM translations (particularly big-scale ones like this) actually take a lot of time and sort of become like second jobs - I dunno if you remember but Mother 3 took like 16 months and that was on the fast track! I used to do fan translations a lot back when I was in college but it's so much harder to find free time these days :/

I've always wanted to try that game out, but never got around to it. Maybe I'll finally push myself to try it this summer, along with some of your other ROM translations.

Damn, dude. I remember that game for its startling final chapters that turned a typical RPG trope on its head. Reminds me of DQ6, which had the same sad twist.
Thanks for translating Bahamut Lagoon so I could play it, btw. B) Why not make fan-translating a hobby, then? They take up WAY too much time to even fit into a spare time schedule?

Still, as you would know already; Japanese generally refer to them as cassettes (カセット).

How about Bionic Commando? That game definitely had a lot of changes to appeal to the US censors. Wasn't it originally called "The Resurrection of Hitler:Top Secret" in Japan? The story was completely changed, and all Nazi signs were removed.
