I’m sure this will be how I start most entries but… so so tired

I think tomorrow might be the first day I can really relax in a good while, so that’ll be nice. Although even then I still got a lot of work-related things to do all weekend.

Being in a different time zone has messed with my perception of time and how I need to schedule my work each day. I used to be able to rely on the fact that I was always like an hour or two ahead of FUNimation, so I could do all sorts of stuff in the morning and know that no one at FUNi was at work yet. But now I’m like an hour behind them, so I gotta change my thinking and my scheduling. It caught me by surprise today when I needed to turn something in and I was like, “Oh crap, it’s almost closing time there!”

After work, I continued my quest of making the apartment not a level from Sokoban/Tomato Boxes. Also got some creatine and some Evangelion DVDs in the mail – I’ve always meant to see Eva all the way through so now’s the time! I’ve seen bits and pieces over the years to get most of it, just never done a full, straight run. Also, the furniture guys showed up and delivered our new table and chairs (the first I’ve ever owned!) and a TV stand. No more sticking the TV on old broken boxes for us, no siree! As always, I messed up putting it together – at the very last step I pretty much had to undo everything and start halfway over, blegh.

I had a few minutes to mess with my phone so I checked out the App Store. Sadly, ROFISH’s iPhone port of my Tomato Boxes game isn’t available anymore – that would’ve been a good first app to get. I also tried the check depositing app my bank has – that was actually a main reason for getting a fancy phone. That way I won’t need to go to the bank very often, which used to be a pain since Poe and I only have the one car that she takes in to Fangamer. I also got Angry Birds just ’cause – I’d only played it on the PS3 before, it’s pretty cool to have on the go. The presentation’s a lot slicker too, oddly enough.

I posted a poll about my Legends of Localization book series I’d like to do in the near future. It looks like the clear choice for the starting book will be a MOTHER 3 one, which is pretty interesting. I didn’t think it’d be that big of a deal, but I guess I just didn’t realize how badly people want to know about the inner workings of the text. I got lots of logistics and legal stuff to figure out before I start. I also gotta figure out how to juggle it with the Final Fantasy IV comparison I’m working on.

Gonna sleep good tomorrow I hope!

Oh yeah, while digging through the closet for allts of stuff I found my copy of EarthBound

    Never watched Eva? Come on Mato.
    No but really I only watched it for the first time less than a year ago. When you get to the last disc (I think) remember to opt to watch the “director’s cuts.” They contain a few extra scenes that help explain what is going on.

    Hmm. I’m trying to figure out what I meant by “allts of stuff”. Sleep deprivation provides interesting typos.

    You DID take your cat with you when you moved, right? Don’t you dare tell me you left your little kitty behind! ;_;

    Heheh, Taiko no Tatsujin. 😀

    I would love nothing more than to see the Mother 3 notes. I think it would give me an even greater appreciation for the game. Seeing the EB Vs. M2 comparison made my next playthrough of EB all the more great (especially since I learned about certain glitches, like the Rock Candy trick because of it, heheh). And to have it in a physical book that I can read? Well, that would depend on the price point, actually, but I would LOVE to have that! For future reference, I would probably pay no more than around $30 for it. Hopefully it wouldn’t get that high, but books these days are getting more expensive… What with the new eBook fad. Nothing beats having a real book in your hands. Like playing a game on real hardware as opposed to an emulator, know what I mean?
