For the past few weeks I’ve been working on a Zelda 1 thing for my Legends of Localization project. I still got a ways to go, but if anyone out there has suggestions/questions about stuff I should maybe cover, let me know here!
Looks like this section’s going to be a bit bigger than my Super Mario Bros. 1 too, I think it’ll be an interesting read 
EDIT: While I’m at it, if anyone can send me photos of their gold Zelda NES cartridge on a white surface, taken at different angles, that’d help me out a lot. I only have the gray cart :/
I think one of the big things you should note are what details are explained in this particular game’s story: the Zelda series is pretty much built on introducing elements in one game and explaining them in another, so people might be thinking of details that haven’t come up yet.
I might be wrong, but I think the sprite for the book from Zelda 1 is ripped straight from Devil World’s bible sprite. Not sure what that information is worth.

Whoops. I guess I should have checked my facts before I mentoned it! I know that that book is a bible in the FDS version, though. I guess I’ll leave you with this link.

I know this article was like a week ago, but if you still need a photo of the cartridge, i can provide one for you. I just found my old gold cart in a closet a few days ago.
Also, I was kinda wondering: when were you gonna upload that logo i made for you? I’m really curious to see it in action.

I really want to make a new design for the Legends of Localization page, the logo will be the main attraction for sure. I’ve been extra busy with work lately though, so I haven’t had much time for fun site stuff
Ok, cool. I’ll just continue being patient. Since the logo is Zelda-based, it might be cool to synchronize its upload with this upcoming Zelda 1 article.
PS: BTW, is there anyway i can change that logo next to my name? It just looks a bit bland, and i noticed some other commentators have there own pics there.

I also have a plugin installed that uses people’s Twitter avatars, try editing your profile and see if that works. I know it works on the Localization pages at least.
